Moving Content

SiteKreator allows you to easily change the order of the content items (menu, files, news, etc) on your page.
 

Moving any content item is done by rollingover the item edit icon, selecting Move  and then choosingthe desired position(up  / down  / top  / bottom ). Move upand down will move your item just one position, whereas Move Top or Bottom will move the item above or below all other items.
 

In a longlist of items it is more convenient to move an item to a specific place using the Cut  / Paste  feature.Cut / Paste work within the same page, as well as throughout different pages. How Cut / Paste works:

• Rollover the edit iconof the item you want to cut. Choose Edit  > Cut  . The edit icon of the cut item changes to half-blurred to reflect the Cutoperation  .

• Mouseover the  green areawhich should appear on top right of the page.Clipboard contains all cut / copied items and after each cut / copy operation should show the cut / copied item inside.Make sure the item you cut is listed there.

• Rollover the edit icon of the item beforewhich the cut item should be pasted. Choose Edit  and then Paste  . The item is moved to the position desired.

Copying  content from one pageto another (or from one part of the page to another part) is quite similar to Cut. In the abovelist of actions just replace Cut with Copy.

• Rollover the edit icon of theitem you want to copy. Choose Edit  > Copy . The edit icon of the copied item becomes half-blurred .

• Mouseover the  green areaon top right. It should contain the copied item inside.

• Rollover the edit icon of theitem before which you want to paste the copied item. Choose Edit  and thenPaste . The copied item will appear on the chosen position.

Duplicate  option is very close to Copy / Paste. However,the duplicated item appears always before the original item, whereaswith Copy / Paste the pasted item could be positioned everywhere. To duplicate an item, rollover its Editicon, choose Edit  and then Duplicate .
 

Please note that the content item you cut / copy, and the content item before which you paste that item, should be of the same type. For instance you can't cut a menu item and paste it before Text and Images, you could paste it only before another menu item.
  

Copy / Cut / Paste multiple items.

• First, select all items you wish to cut or copy:

  • Roll over the edit icon  of the first item and chooseSelect

  • Select theabove way all items you wish to cut / copy. The iconsof the selected items should changeto reflect the selected state.

• Rollover the iconof any of theitems selected and choose Edit > Copy (or Edit > Cut).All these itemsshould appear in Clipboard on top right.

• Go to the item before which you want topaste the copied items. Rollover its edit icon and select Edit > Paste. All copieditems should be pasted and the Clipboard shouldbe emptied.

As always don't forget to publish your page after any change.
